1. 2 Dope Queens

They’re really great interviewers and they always vibe with each other and their guests so that it seems like a chill hang out sesh rather than a podcast. WNYC produces their podcast along with shows like RadioLab and Freakonomics. This past February HBO brought their podcast to life through a stand up special performed live in Brooklyn which showcases other comedians that Robinson and Williams know and love.

Want a podcast that feels like two old friends chatting it up about the day-to-day over drinks, because Shanice & Nikia are that! They’re very real and not afraid to be opinionated and they talk about things that most people can admit to going through in their adult lives. It’s always awesome to get some honest perspective from them.

3. Insecuritea

This podcast is for the super fans of the HBO show Insecure starring Issa Rae. It’s hosted by Fran of the HeyFranHey natural hair blog and Crissle from the extremely popular podcast The Read. I love the digital water cooler theme of the show where they basically rehash each episode of Insecure and analyze characters and plot lines of the show. For the love of drama, listen to this podcast.

4. Therapy for Black Girls

You may know Franchesca Ramsey from her show Decoded on MTV, but if you’re me, you know her from her loc styling tutorials on YouTube. She and her husband Patrick, who is a lawyer, talk what’s happening in the world and in their marriage. They’re your friendly neighborhood interracial couple taking everything one day at a time.
